Regardless of the year of study or the faculty we have chosen, we all face the challenges of student life, especially now in the exam period. From balancing academic responsibilities and social activities, to managing challenges and stress - every student goes through a struggle of their own. As a colleague who is going through the same challenges as you, I believe that sharing personal experiences and useful strategies is essential for the success of each of us. That's why in this text I'm sharing tips that helped me to successfully study and pass exams. I hope these tips will be a support and inspiration on your student journey.

  1. First of all, you need to be regular at the lectures, because you will learn many things that are not in the book from the lecturers, such as some situations that they went through during a long series of service in that job, and this will help you to prepare the content more easily either for the colloquium or for the exam. By attending the lectures, you can also observe the ways of their professionalism in business.
  2. Next, you need to organize your time well and use it in the right and efficient way, which means that at some point you will have free time for relaxation and rest. It may happen that you have difficulties with organizing, so my advice to you is to use a planner and arrange all the tasks neatly, or simply write everything down in a notepad or on sticky notes and always carry it with you. You can write down appointments, phone numbers, extracurricular activities, homework...
  3. It is also important to get to know your professors better. You can look for their biographies on the faculty's website or ask older students what the professor is like, how they work, and what it's like to take exams with them.
  4. After that, it is very important that during the lecture process you give feedback and freely express your opinion, views, interests, because in this way you can awaken in the other participant in the interaction (in this case the subject professor, but also colleagues) the feeling that he follows your work, listens and understands your presentation. In this way, you can become recognizable for an attitude, and you also get noticed. Speak freely, because believe me the professors want to hear your views. The goal of the current teaching process is interactive work, not frontal.
  5. Another important item in successfully passing the exam is to complete all pre-exam duties (seminar papers, presentations, research...) on time, because by respecting the deadlines set by the professor, you are actually respecting the professor and the time he allocated to achieve and do it.
    6. Complete clearly set goals. Try to fulfill a couple of promises and goals that you set for yourself each semester. I don't mean just grades - but something that will make you happy and satisfied. These can be short-term or long-term goals. 7. Also, when studying, it is important that you learn to distinguish and separate important from less important data, so that you don't get lost in the sea of information provided by the literature. As well as structuring all those units into a logical sequence that will be easy for you to adopt.

8. Another tip that can be helpful is to join a student organization or an extracurricular activity that interests you. During these gatherings, you can make a lot of friends with whom you can share your opinions and experiences.

9. Always be positive and smile, even when you don't feel like it. Simply leave all the problems you have at the front door of your educational institution.

10. At the very end, I want to tell you that you need to find a balance. After the exam period is over, find your outlet for all the stress, nervousness and many sleepless nights you have had up until that period. Enjoy your walks, your hobby, spending time with your loved ones...
