According to the latest published rules, full-time undergraduate and master's students of accredited higher education institutions, as well as freshmen, can apply. For each new cycle, be sure to check the official conditions of the competition.

The foundation grants scholarships to Serbian students studying in the Republic of Serbia and the region. In the last published competition, students from Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina were listed. The Foundation does not currently list scholarships for studies outside of that framework.

Yes. Starting in 2020, the foundation leaves part of the scholarships for freshmen as well. In the recently published rules, leadership potential and social responsibility are especially emphasized.

In the 2025/2026 cycle. the annual scholarship amounted to RSD 200,000 and was paid in 10 equal monthly installments. That information should not automatically be considered a condition for the next competition until the Foundation announces a new call.

The foundation typically awards approximately 30-40 scholarships per year. In the 2025/2026 cycle. a total of 40 scholarships were awarded.

No. The Foundation clearly states that letters of recommendation, proof of enrollment and other supporting documents are not sent in the first round. Candidates who pass are given instructions on what they need to submit.

According to the published FAQ, it is not necessary to wait for the end of enrollment to complete the application. In the application, you state your past achievements and the year you are enrolling, and proof of enrollment will be submitted later if you are selected.

Yes. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview. Based on the application, criteria and interview, the Foundation makes the final decision.

In addition to academic success, the Foundation cites need for financial support, other accomplishments, educational and professional goals, volunteerism, social engagement and leadership potential.

Scholarships cover various fields of study. In the last cycles, the Foundation particularly emphasized support for future teachers.

On the old page of the program, the Foundation states that the scholarship can be renewed for the remaining years of undergraduate studies as long as the student continues to meet the criteria. However, the renewal rules should be checked in each new competition cycle.

The foundation states that the competition is usually announced in the period September-October. For 2026/2027. we do not publish the date on this page until the Foundation officially confirms it.
