The first independently published scientific paper is an important step for a young person who wants to do academic writing in the future. I think that Sava Mitrović is on the right track, and his text that bears the title „"Humanitarian interventionism - cultural violence in the service of geostrategic interests"“ was published in the fourth issue of "Politeum" magazine.
Sava likes to read and it was not difficult for him to invest about two months in writing the text because he is very satisfied with the end product.
„"The comment from a good friend and college colleague, whose opinion I greatly respect, that this work should at least become part of the required examination literature for the wars of the 90s, really meant a lot to me."“
"The comment of a good friend and colleague from the faculty, whose opinion I highly respect, that this paper should at least become part of the mandatory exam literature for the wars of the 90s, really meant a lot to me."„
The support of the environment is a tailwind for Sava and an inspiration for new research. In the mentioned paper, he dealt with a very important issue, which is not talked about enough.
„"NATO intervention in 1999, as a blatant example of direct violence, placed in the wider context of cultural violence against Serbs through various stigmatization processes. Also, the paper shows that behind the alleged humane motives of post-Cold War interventions, almost as a rule, the geostrategic interests of the great powers that undertake these interventions are hidden," says Sava. It was a pleasure to interview my colleague and I wish him many more successful works and to persevere in what he set out to do!
