Izložba u Kolarcu
Our alumni, Bogdan Đukanović, presents us with an exhibition in the realization of which he had the opportunity to participate. We asked him to explain what it was all about and how Slobodan Trajković met the founder of the Studenica Foundation in the USA. In our environment, it is rare that an accomplished artist, such as Slobodan, accepts to work with a young artist who is at the beginning of his career and who is just emerging on the art scene. When I talk about it, I don't mean assisting and working in the studio, which is expected, but about developing a friendly relationship and selflessly transferring knowledge through joint work and marathon conversations. I had the rare good fortune to be given such an opportunity. When it comes to my development, I think that the fruits of our labor will only be shown in their full glory in the future. It is an interesting coincidence that this author was a member of the Serbian Unification Congress during the nineties in America and that on that occasion he met Miroslav Majkl Đorđević, the founder of our Studenica Foundation. Such matches confirm that there are immediate connections connecting real people, with great ideas. I often think that such a connection is necessary so that we can all together influence the development of our society, but also its healing.
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit his solo exhibition "The Past Long Lasts", in the gallery of Ilija M. Kolarc in Belgrade. The exhibition will be open until April 24, 2021, every working day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
