I remember that this was the main thing that my friends and I argued about for a few months in 2019. I don't think I've ever tried so hard to hike and move around in my life as I did then. Roditelji \u010dija su se deca pre 20 godina le\u010dila od malignih bolesti do\u0161li su na ideju da osnuju NURDOR, kako to ka\u017ee na\u0161a sagovornica i pravni i PR savetnik u NURDOR-u, Tamara Klari\u0107, sa jednim ciljem – ,,da nijedna porodica vi\u0161e ne mora da prolazi kroz to onako kako su oni morali: sami.\u201d Danas NURDOR \u010dine upravni odbor – roditelji osniva\u010di, a pored njih\u00a0 jo\u0161 jedanaest zaposlenih u Beogradu, Ni\u0161u i Novom Sadu. Na pitanje kako su to uspeli i \u0161ta smatra najve\u0107om vredno\u0161\u0107u NURDOR-a, Tamara ka\u017ee – zajedni\u0161tvo.<\/p>\n

Tamara navodi da najve\u0107im\u00a0 i najuspe\u0161nijim projektom NURDOR-a dosad smatra projektovanje, izgradnju i opremanje nove bolnice de\u010dje hemato-onkologije u Ni\u0161u. Opremljena je najsavremenijom medicinskom opremom, svaka soba ima svoje kupatilo i krevet za roditelja, a pored toga, ono \u0161to je mo\u017eda i najzna\u010dajnije, postoji mogu\u0107nost primene humane terapije – deca primaju hemioterapiju dok se igraju.<\/p>\n

In 2018, NURDOR completed and donated the hospital to the Ni\u0161 Clinical Center. It also states that, so far, almost 1,000 families have passed through the organization. The latest and currently the largest Parents' House project in Belgrade was launched, as he says, because there is not enough capacity for families in Belgrade, which is the largest therapeutic and diagnostic center in Serbia. "This will be the largest Parents' House in Serbia, which will enable every family that comes to Belgrade for treatment to be provided with free and adequate accommodation for as long as the treatment lasts."\u201d
\nAs the biggest obstacles that the organization, as well as the families they are in contact with, encounter, they are mostly of an administrative and legal nature, which, especially for families, represent "a completely unnecessary additional burden on the already unimaginably difficult situation they are in". However, in most cases, they manage to cope with the bureaucratic system, "which is so sluggish and slow that it often seems to be working against itself". On the initiative of NURDORA, in 2019, after six years of struggle, the law on health insurance was changed and parents of seriously ill children were given the right to sick leave for the entire duration of treatment with 100 percent of salary compensation, while the previous practice was only four months of sick leave with 60 percent compensation. They also managed to fight for the children's right to free rehabilitation after treatment. However, he states that the lack of a pediatric cancer registry in Serbia, an information system for data analysis, which would greatly help the monitoring of all data, the number of patients and those cured, short-term and long-term consequences of treatment and therapy, etc., remains an unresolved problem. Although NURDOR has been advocating for this for years without results, "We will continue this struggle, with the never-forsaken hope that the institutions will recognize that what we are advocating for is only change for the better." For all of us", says Tamara.<\/p>\n

Na to da li smatra da njihove akcije dolaze do ,,dovoljnog\u201d broja ljudi i da li je do njih danas te\u0161ko dopreti, odgovorila je da uvek mo\u017ee bolje i da bi bilo sjajno da svaka punoletna osoba u Srbiji zna za NURDOR, ne zbog pove\u0107anja popularnosti, ve\u0107 jer bismo na taj na\u010din dobili jedno osve\u0161\u0107eno dru\u0161tvo. ,,…Sigurna sam da nikada, ni u jednoj eri kroz koju \u0107e \u010dove\u010danstvo pro\u0107i, ne\u0107ete na\u0107i \u010doveka koji se ne ose\u0107a dobro kada radi Dobro. Treba ljudima samo ponuditi tu mogu\u0107nost, osmisliti na\u010din i pru\u017eiti im priliku da vide da to zaista ima smisla. Ako u tome uspemo – onda Dobro postaje mo\u0107.\u201d I ja se sla\u017eem sa Tamarom. Svi oko mene, uklju\u010duju\u0107i i mene, skupljali su korake i ose\u0107ali se dobro.<\/p>\n

However, I would like to end this story about NURDOR, these endlessly inspiring people and their selfless goal and importance, as Tamara says and tells, with a short anecdote: "One little princess, who celebrated her third birthday in the NURDOR parent's house, returned to her city with her parents after a successful operation and treatment.
